Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform facility maintenance and repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work
• Maintain and repair plant machinery such as welders, pumps, motors, compressors, and pneumatic/electric hand tools
• Execute preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks to ensure maximum equipment efficiency
• Repair or replace control devices including switches, sensors, valves, and motor starters
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot failures, and document repair reports
• Fabricate and modify new or existing equipment as needed
• Manage spare parts inventory and assist with plant safety, health, and environmental programming
• Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing and facilities maintenance
• 1 year of specific experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
• Basic electrical repair knowledge (120v & 480v)
• Welding experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, installation drawings, and technical documents
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work overtime on short notice and follow strict safety guidelines (LOTO, OSHA, EPA)
