Maintenance Technician - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul HVACR systems and facilities in accordance with SOPs, GMP guidelines, and EH&S policies.
• Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical components, including motors, compressors, and thermostats.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as cleaning ducts, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
• Execute qualification and validation protocols for the installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Identify spare parts using machine manuals and create work orders within the CMMS.
• Identify, prevent, and proactively correct workplace hazards to ensure a safe environment.
• Travel between the 30 Novopharm, Stouffville, and Markham sites as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical or electro-mechanical experience.
• Ontario accreditation or certification (e.g., 313A, 313D, 308A, or G1/G2).
• Proficiency with diagnostic devices, tools, and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of cGMP and WHMIS.
• Familiarity with BAS, CMMS, PLC, and Windows environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technician or technology diploma.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical maintenance.
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
