About the role

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders for resident requests and preventive maintenance
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas for quality and safety
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain documentation
  • Assist with grounds upkeep and support cost-cutting initiatives
  • Participate in safety protocols and serve on a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in buildings and common areas
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs per safety standards and codes
  • Manage inventory, schedule vendors and contractors, and track materials
  • Adhere to safety protocols, attend safety meetings, and report incidents
  • Communicate effectively with management, residents, vendors, and contractors
  • EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling, or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on the property
  • High school diploma or GED with related experience or training
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and operate hand and power tools
  • Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, or confined spaces and varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
