Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machines including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration
• Observe and test machinery operation to diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment
• Assist in planning and implementing special projects, equipment installations, and routine maintenance
• Operate repaired machinery to verify repair adequacy
• Record repairs, maintenance, parts, and materials used, and order new parts as necessary
• Reference facility floor plans and manufacturer manuals for equipment installation and operation
• Examine parts and equipment for defects and excessive wear
• Apply various methods and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, and overhaul machines

Requirements

• Ability to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Ability to use testing equipment and manufacturer manuals

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical background
• 2 years of facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in pet food or food production industry
• HACCP experience
