About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment, facility structures, grounds and utilities
- Perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, equipment rebuilds, and adjustments
- Set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, and other metal working equipment
- Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
- Fabricate, innovate, and modify new and existing equipment
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met during all repair activities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair
- Ability to read and interpret documents, schematics, and drawings
- Computer literacy in MS Office and Plant Controls Software
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, climb, and lift for extended periods

- Post-secondary education or a technical trade certificate
