Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features, and waste management systems
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a safe and timely manner
  • Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready
  • Maintain customer service standards and resolve resident complaints
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing and building codes
  • Assist with organizing and prioritizing maintenance tasks
  • May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • One year of experience in property management maintenance
  • Basic arithmetic skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to use general maintenance tools, pressure washers, blowers, and landscaping equipment
  • Ability to handle chemicals and cleaning supplies
  • Possession of basic hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for company responsibilities
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
