Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features, and waste management systems
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a safe and timely manner
- Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready
- Maintain customer service standards and resolve resident complaints
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing and building codes
- Assist with organizing and prioritizing maintenance tasks
- May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- One year of experience in property management maintenance
- Basic arithmetic skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to use general maintenance tools, pressure washers, blowers, and landscaping equipment
- Ability to handle chemicals and cleaning supplies
- Possession of basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for company responsibilities
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
