About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance repairs on appliances, electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits
- Execute minor plumbing work including clearing stoppages and replacing fittings
- Replace broken glass, tile, vinyl, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, and locks
- Paint apartment interiors and exteriors as required
- Perform carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, replacing door jams, and refinishing floors
- Assist with custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning apartments
- Maintain grounds by picking up trash and pulling weeds
- Participate in the On-Call Emergency Schedule rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Manage apartment refurbishing prior to resident occupancy and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent
- 1-3 years of maintenance or related field experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience in Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, HVAC, or Appliance repair
- Ability to work with diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds
