Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance repairs on appliances, electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits
• Execute minor plumbing work including clearing stoppages and replacing fittings
• Replace broken glass, tile, vinyl, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, and locks
• Paint apartment interiors and exteriors as required
• Perform carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, replacing door jams, and refinishing floors
• Assist with custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning apartments
• Maintain grounds by picking up trash and pulling weeds
• Participate in the On-Call Emergency Schedule rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Manage apartment refurbishing prior to resident occupancy and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent
• 1-3 years of maintenance or related field experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience in Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, HVAC, or Appliance repair
• Ability to work with diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds
