Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment and electrical systems
• Test electrical systems and continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters to ensure safety and compliance
• Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components to locate and correct causes of breakdowns
• Install and troubleshoot VFDs, control boards (AC/DC), and equipment controls such as switches and potentiometers
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine wiring locations and ensure conformance to safety codes
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including moving heavy objects and working from ladders or scaffolds
• Assist other maintenance personnel with mechanical duties throughout the facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of relevant maintenance or electrical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical NCCER Certification
