Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely repair of equipment and develop preventative maintenance measures
• Source spare parts within budget and maintain stock levels
• Install, test, maintain, repair, and adjust plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and correct machinery and equipment defects
• Change and maintain batteries on powered equipment
• Work from drawings, sketches, prints, and schematic diagrams
• Create detailed sketches for the manufacture of repair parts
• Use cutting and welding equipment and hand tools
• Install conduit, wire, motors, switchgear, switches, contactors, and control devices
• Adhere to plant regulations, safety rules, and quality standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
• Training or certification in Industrial Motor Controls and Variable Frequency Drives
• Knowledge of HVAC/R controls and equipment repair
• Proficiency in basic electricity, welding, and cutting
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles
• Ability to read blueprints
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive motions, climbing, and squatting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dehumidifiers (Munters or equivalent)
• HVAC diagnosis and repair expertise
• Machine shop operation experience (mill, drill, lathe)
