Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production and facility equipment, primarily in the Extrusion department, to ensure optimal production
• Perform set-up, troubleshooting, and both emergency and scheduled preventative maintenance
• Utilize voltmeters, welders, and hand tools to troubleshoot electric circuits, motors, and pumps
• Maintain resin systems, vacuum loaders, extruders, and various support equipment
• Assist with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations
• Fabricate equipment to support production requirements and maintain a neat, orderly work area
• Adhere to all safety requirements and company guidelines

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools (wrenches, torches, voltmeters, drill press, etc.)
• Knowledge of state and local safety codes
• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Excel
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on foot for up to 12 hours a shift
• Ability to climb ladders, silos, and roofs at varying heights
