Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production equipment, primarily within the extrusion department
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Assist with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, and air/water systems
• Maintain resin systems and vacuum loaders, including cleaning filters and making repairs
• Fabricate equipment to support production requirements
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area while following all safety protocols

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance
• Proficiency with hand and power tools (wrenches, torches, voltmeters, drill press, etc.)
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of power transmission equipment
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer skills
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety documents
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for up to 12 hours per shift
• Knowledge of state and local safety codes
