Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain cooking, packaging, and bagging equipment including conveyors, kettles, and VFFS
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failure
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing failures
• Execute facility repairs such as painting, lighting, and pallet rack maintenance
• Safely repair electrical systems including high voltage, thermocouples, and frequency drives
• Identify improvement projects to reduce downtime and increase throughput
• Utilize CMMS system to document all work performed
• Follow GMPs and food safety guidelines

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role
• Experience in food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical machine repair
• Ability to use a multimeter and understand electrical components
• Ability to read drawings and equipment manuals
• Knowledge of GMPs and food safety guidelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to TIG weld stainless steel and solder copper pipe
• PLC experience (Allen Bradley or equivalent)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Welding certification or NFPA 70e certification
• Vocational or trade school degree in a maintenance related field
