Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment failure and perform root cause analysis
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair work according to designated schedules
• Complete maintenance work orders using CMMS (AS 400 and Maximo) and predictive maintenance checklists
• Support production and engineering departments with all necessary maintenance repair needs
• Perform maintenance requirement specifications for new machinery design or equipment upgrades
• Work with outside contractors for preventative maintenance and repairs
• Procure necessary parts for projects or machine repairs as required
• Maintain a team environment that fosters safety awareness and mutual respect

Requirements

• Accredited apprenticeship program in a trade, craft, or occupation, or a 2-year technical college degree
• Proficiency with Volt meters, Ohm meters, flow meters, and thermometers
• Experience operating lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and saws
• Skill with welding equipment, metal grinders, and power tools
• Ability to use micrometers, dial/digital calipers, and pipe bending equipment
• Thorough understanding of machine functions and equipment processes
