About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Replace and align components such as screws, barrels, gearboxes, heaters, motors, and sensors
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recurring issues
- Perform basic PLC diagnostics including input/output checks
- Document maintenance work and downtime in CMMS
- Mentor Level I technicians on basic maintenance tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in heat, noise, and industrial conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification
- Experience with extrusion equipment (screws, dies, downstream equipment)
- Experience with heating/cooling systems and tooling maintenance
