Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist Level II and III technicians in equipment installations, repairs, or modifications
• Repair and install electrical equipment including generators, transformers, and motors
• Work with blueprint drawings, layouts, and verbal instructions
• Use welding equipment for layout and fitting, including making jigs and fixtures
• Diagnose and correct troubles in electrical systems
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections to ensure machinery condition
• Follow the established preventive maintenance program
• Maintain buildings and perform minor repairs
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent
• Minimum of two years related working experience in a maintenance mechanic function
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
