Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Conduct inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
• Troubleshoot and repair complex MEP building systems and equipment
• Manage emergency repairs and ensure systems operate in compliance with safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory
• Work both independently and as part of a team with other trades and outside vendors

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or state-recognized equivalent
• Experience in general maintenance, construction, or a related field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, catwalks, and aerial lifts
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain driver eligibility
• For Technician 2 level: 3 years of relevant experience and ability to obtain Asbestos O&M, Confined Space, and Fall Protection certifications
• Ability to work weekends and on-call hours as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) or other workplace safety certifications
• Technical certification or training in MEP building system maintenance
• Experience in an institutional, industrial, or large-scale facility environment
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS)
