About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary
- Assist with facility improvements and special projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in industrial, commercial, or residential settings
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for work order systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must be registered in the Maryland Workforce Exchange
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Welding or fabrication experience
- PLC troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
