Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders within designated time frames and manage apartment turnovers within 5 days of move-out
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance on electrical systems, including light bulbs, sockets, and circuit breaker panels
• Maintain and repair plumbing, heating components, locks, doors, and controllers
• Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces
• Maintain documentation for fire extinguishers, suppression systems, and building alarms
• Perform manual repairs such as fixing locks and replacing windows
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and document work performance and material procurement

Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous experience as a Maintenance Technician
• High school diploma
• In-depth knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Practical knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications such as HVAC or CMRP
