Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant facilities and equipment, including turbines, heat exchangers, pumps, and fans
• Participate in the plant’s preventive maintenance program and collect trending information for the Maintenance Manager
• Forecast spare parts requirements and assist with physical inventories to maintain plant reliability
• Set up and operate machine shop tools to perform work to close tolerances and align/balance rotating equipment
• Assemble and repair tubing, piping, valves, and fittings subjected to high/low temperature or pressure
• Maintain administrative records, including operating manuals, technical references, and preventive maintenance logs
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with environmental permits and company procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of experience as a power plant mechanic, millwright, or equivalent
• Successful completion of a Mechanical Technician test
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
