About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Execute tasks detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan, including cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Inspect equipment parts visually for damage and ensure proper cleaning.
- Assist in the dismantling of defective machines and the installation of new or repaired parts.
- Prioritize workloads and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts in stock.
- Adhere to all company rules, safe work practices, and health and safety compliance.
- Provide equipment training to new and current machine operators.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED with 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in electrical systems ranging from 120v to 480v and 24v control voltage.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair skills.
- Ability to interpret P&ID and technical schematics.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, valves, and actuators.
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing motors, pumps, and valves.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent specialized training.
- Previous experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
- Experience working in industrial, commercial, or hazardous environments.
