About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Execute tasks detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan, including cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, and gears.
  • Inspect equipment parts visually for damage and ensure proper cleaning.
  • Assist in the dismantling of defective machines and the installation of new or repaired parts.
  • Prioritize workloads and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts in stock.
  • Adhere to all company rules, safe work practices, and health and safety compliance.
  • Provide equipment training to new and current machine operators.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED with 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems ranging from 120v to 480v and 24v control voltage.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair skills.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID and technical schematics.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, valves, and actuators.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing motors, pumps, and valves.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or equivalent specialized training.
  • Previous experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
  • Experience working in industrial, commercial, or hazardous environments.
