Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on production, engineering, and gas manifold equipment
• Install and modify chemical processing equipment and auxiliary facility equipment
• Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program
• Assist in engineering improvement construction projects, ensuring defined scope and schedules
• Perform component rebuilds, calibrations, and valid leak checks
• Manage spare parts inventory and write purchase requisitions for needed parts
• Participate in the emergency response (ER) team, including wearing full-face respirators and Level A suits
• Maintain safety and organization within the maintenance department

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical or gas/pressure system industries
• Ability to read and construct from P&ID or engineering drawings
• Basic skills in electronics, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
• Tube bending skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
• Ability to roll gas cylinders weighing up to 200 lbs
• Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas (pressure) system component theory and operation
• Knowledge of vacuum system component theory and operation
• Previous emergency response experience or certification
