Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace broken or non-functioning equipment through problem analysis and part determination
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on plant machinery
• Fabricate new plant items using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete necessary repairs
• Maintain plant sanitation standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical, construction, or an equivalent field
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
• Ability to read and understand equipment specifications and computer printouts
• Proficiency in operating a forklift, bobcat, and end-loader
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to be available for periodic on-call status
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
