About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and act as an escalation point for production technicians.
  • Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and maintain accurate operating logs for facility systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events to minimize production delays.
  • Execute facility project work including plumbing repairs, carpentry, and light electrical tasks.
  • Follow strict safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Experience with wastewater systems and operating forklifts.
  • Knowledge of PLC logic systems and the ability to troubleshoot inputs and outputs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer software packages.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods (8–12 hours).
  • Ability to work ladders, stairs, and in various physical positions (kneeling, lying down, or reaching overhead).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or HVAC.
  • Graduate of an apprenticeship program or holder of a current trade certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in building maintenance for facilities larger than 75,000 square feet.
