About the role
Responsibilities
- Assign and monitor the work of skilled-trades personnel to accomplish customer requests, preventative maintenance, and project work
- Plan for maintenance of equipment that improves reliability, efficiency, quality, and safety
- Diagnose machine malfunctions to root cause, recommend solutions, and support the execution of repair and improvement plans
- Provide expert review and analysis of equipment spare parts lists, preventive maintenance plans, and documentation
Requirements
- 3 or more years of general maintenance, mechanical engineering, or factory automation experience
- Ability and willingness to work 3rd shift
- Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical or electrical) or equivalent related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a maintenance leadership role within a union environment
- Technical experience with design and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
- Automation and controls troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley components and Rockwell Automation PLC software
- Experience interfacing with machines through multiple communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, DeviceNet, Serial, Profibus, Modbus)
- Experience working within the SAP PM module
- Knowledge of machinery and equipment safety standards (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E)
