Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance activities for the 2nd shift to ensure objectives are met in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
• Oversee the repair, maintenance, and reliability of production machinery, equipment, utilities, and physical plant
• Coordinate the preventive maintenance program to maintain equipment and alarm systems in safe operating conditions
• Supervise, train, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians
• Audit and control shift overtime labor costs, repair costs, and equipment downtime
• Coordinate shift activities with outside vendors and other department managers
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company food safety and HACCP standards

Requirements

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)
• Strong electrical and PLC skill sets
• High School diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a technical school background
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees, management, and vendors
• Working knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and computer processes
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for 8-10 hour shifts in a manufacturing environment
