Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance activities on the night shift (Sun-Thurs, 5p-2a) to ensure timely maintenance of production machinery, physical plant, and utilities.
• Supervise, train, and develop a team of 2-4 maintenance technicians.
• Coordinate the preventive maintenance program to maintain equipment and alarm systems in safe operating condition.
• Audit and control shift overtime labor costs, repair costs, and equipment downtime.
• Oversee corrective actions and equipment adjustments to maximize production capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company food safety and HACCP standards.
• Coordinate shift changes and maintenance activities with other department managers and outside vendors.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry experience preferred).
• Strong electrical and PLC skill sets.
• High School graduate or equivalent, plus technical training or a technical school background.
• Ability to pass a respiratory function and fit test to wear a full respirator and SCBA.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for 8-10 hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience specifically in a maintenance supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and production computer processes.
