About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compliant, and reliable maintenance and operational support at the terminal level.
  • Demonstrate strong HSSE leadership, ensuring compliance with Shell Life Saving Rules and regulatory standards.
  • Act as an incident commander or first-line response leader during operational upsets and emergencies.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of operators, guards, and contractors, providing on-the-job coaching.
  • Oversee maintenance execution for terminal mechanical systems, firefighting equipment, tanks, jetties, and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with Engineering on CAPEX/OPEX planning and support project integration and handover.
  • Serve as a certified Shore Officer (Loading Master) to coordinate vessel loading/discharge operations.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance programs, including Tank, Jetty, and Pipeline Integrity Programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in terminal operations with exposure to preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Knowledge of DGAME and Shell project execution practices.
  • Completed training/certification in FLBM AMS, Emergency Response (ER), and Permit to Work (PTW).
  • Understanding of risk assessment, JHA, and JMS.
  • Experience in contractor and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to hold and maintain certifications such as Lead Permit Issuer (LPI), Authorized Gas Tester (AGT), or Safety Coordinator.
  • Loading Master or Ship Shore experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering.
  • AESP, AGT, Safety Coordinator, or DOE recognized certification.
