Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance employees on night shifts to ensure effective delivery of maintenance services and support 24/7 production operations.
• Plan, assign, and direct work while addressing product and employee concerns and resolving technical problems.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and maintenance managers to improve equipment reliability, safety, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Oversee both routine maintenance and capital projects for the site.
• Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities (refrigeration, steam, compressed air), buildings, and grounds.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Maintain technical documentation, including PLC ladder logic, blueprints, manuals, and SOPs.
• Monitor and enforce safety, food safety, and regulatory policies with employees and contractors.
• Manage employee performance, including selection, training, development, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within the Dairy, Food, or Beverage industry.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required.
• Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, cooling towers, and ammonia compressors.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and understanding ladder logic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP or maintenance planning software is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including a rotational weekend schedule and night shifts (4:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
