About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance functions, personnel, and labor scheduling to meet plant requirements
  • Provide technical support through troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and training
  • Participate in plant improvement initiatives and ensure repairs meet industry and company standards
  • Evaluate maintenance personnel skills and establish training programs for continuous development
  • Advise management on equipment issues and their impact on production output
  • Ensure all utilities, including refrigeration, electrical, steam, and compressed air systems, are in proper working order
  • Coordinate with production supervision to manage downtime windows for PM and repair work
  • Maintain technical documentation, including PLC ladder logic, blueprints, manuals, and SOPs
  • Monitor maintenance operation costs and ensure a safe work environment is maintained

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within the dairy, food, or beverage industry
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience
  • Proficiency in programming and working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley components and Bosch equipment preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and process control systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, primarily 1st shift, with weekends as needed
