Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the performance of maintenance mechanics, machinists, painters, and other assigned personnel.
• Coordinate and communicate maintenance schedules, priorities, and job status with other shifts and management.
• Ensure all scheduled maintenance work for the shift is assigned, completed, and inspected for quality.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and skill development for the maintenance team.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions and contingency plans to minimize equipment downtime.
• Manage personnel activities in accordance with corporate policies, safety standards, and Union Labor Agreements.
• Foster a team-oriented work environment and serve as the first step in the grievance process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical repair, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and direct maintenance personnel effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or coursework in engineering.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial setting.
