About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a maintenance team of up to 11 mechanics to maximize productivity and skill development.
- Oversee preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on all machinery in a TPM managed environment.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase equipment capability and uptime.
- Analyze preventative maintenance data to modify and optimize maintenance programs.
- Prioritize work requests based on downtime data and equipment manuals.
- Manage maintenance labor to support operational needs and reduce overtime.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, FDA, USDA, GMP, and HACCP regulations.
- Monitor and enforce proper sanitation and housekeeping procedures.
- Write, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee the installation of facility and project equipment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- 3+ years of continuous improvement experience (TPM, Kaizen, or Lean Six Sigma).
- Proven experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work the Night Shift (2/2/3 schedule, 6p-6a).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework.
- Background in food or beverage manufacturing environments.
