About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the repair, maintenance, and overall upkeep of the 155,000-square-foot Bybee Lakes HOPE Center
  • Supervise a team of two Maintenance Technicians, including assigning work orders and monitoring performance
  • Coordinate and maintain a schedule of preventative maintenance activities
  • Oversee building systems and repairs to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and welcoming
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and utilize work order systems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or construction
  • 1+ year of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and drywall repair
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and bending
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with availability for evening or weekend emergencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training, trade certification, or relevant technical education
  • OSHA safety training or other maintenance credentials
  • Experience working in social services, shelters, or nonprofit environments
  • Understanding of issues surrounding homelessness, mental health, and substance use disorders
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
