Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate engineering and maintenance activities across the site
• Drive plant availability through effective planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance management
• Support and lead the engineering team during breakdowns, ensuring faults are diagnosed and resolved efficiently
• Ensure engineering tasks are completed safely and in line with company procedures and compliance standards
• Identify recurring faults and implement long term engineering solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor engineering performance and support the development of best practice across the site
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers regarding specialist repairs and maintenance activities
• Support engineering planning, permit systems and maintenance scheduling
• Promote high standards of housekeeping, health & safety and environmental compliance
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to engineers and site operatives

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification, electrical bias preferred
• Previous experience in a supervisory or lead engineering role within an industrial or production environment
• Strong background in maintaining production machinery and equipment
• Experience fault finding on PLCs, VSDs and relay logic circuits
• Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance systems
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving
