Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate people and tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems
• Perform hands-on technical tasks including electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance
• Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program to ensure resident well-being and aesthetic appeal
• Maintain OSHA and fire code compliance
• Oversee staff, payroll, operational expenses, and supply/capital expenditures
• Provide technical support, product research, and quality assurance guidance

Requirements

• Previous maintenance and housekeeping management experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with an emphasis on HVAC
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to run a successful department
• Understanding of all applicable life safety regulations
• Knowledge of practices surrounding the proper handling of biohazardous waste
• Strong diagnostic abilities and communication skills
