Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across hotel facilities and systems
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimise downtime and guest disruption
• Supervise and support the maintenance team in daily operations
• Assist with safety and compliance checks including fire systems, emergency lighting, and plant inspections
• Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to brand standards
• Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the hotel
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to maintain smooth operations

Requirements

• Previous experience in general maintenance, ideally within hotels, hospitality, or large commercial properties
• Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Solid understanding of workplace health, safety, and compliance requirements
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
