Maintenance Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance technicians in executing preventative, reactive, and project work orders
• Prioritize and assign work orders to optimize schedule adherence, cost control, and equipment reliability
• Review work requests, conduct field walkdowns, and manage contractor activities
• Provide hands-on coaching, technical guidance, and troubleshooting support to technicians
• Support maintenance execution during shutdowns, outages, and unplanned events
• Monitor and control maintenance budgets, labor utilization, and overtime
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and ESHA standards to promote a zero-injury culture
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S to improve workflow effectiveness

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred
• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP PM preferred)
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and make decisions in high-pressure environments
