Maintenance Storeroom Clerk

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the tracking system for all incoming and outgoing parts within the inventory cage
• Review equipment and inventory levels to ensure critical parts are stocked to minimize plant downtime
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to obtain multiple quotes and ensure best pricing and lead times
• Collaborate with production supervisors to forecast weekly maintenance needs and schedule part deliveries
• Ensure regulatory and PSM compliance by reviewing material compatibility for reactive systems
• Implement continuous improvements in maintenance purchasing to reduce overstock and optimize inventory

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills related to equipment and processes
• Working knowledge of SAP and Concur systems
• Proficiency in basic spreadsheet techniques for data analysis
• Knowledge of DOT/IMDG regulations and implementation
• Understanding of Lean production fundamentals (5S, Continuous Improvement, waste elimination)
• Strong communication and time management skills
