Maintenance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical breakdowns in machinery and equipment
• Supervise operators handling conventional machines in the tool room and fabrication workshop
• Monitor and control the usage of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment inventories
• Review plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices, including lockout/tag out and confined space regulations
• Manage a team by evaluating progress, training new members, and resolving operational problems
• Assist with risk assessments and report all OSH hazards and incidents

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role, including leading overhauls
• Ability to read and explain various engineering drawings and diagrams
• Proficiency in pneumatics and hydraulics
• Fluency in both Arabic and English
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry-specific experience in high-safety environments, such as power plants or heavy machinery maintenance
