Maintenance Repairman 2

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair tasks across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry trades
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits, heating elements, and various components using multi-meters and wiring diagrams
• Install and maintain heating and air conditioning systems, including ductwork fabrication and window unit installation
• Execute plumbing repairs and new installations for service lines and fixtures such as sinks, commodes, and water fountains
• Conduct carpentry tasks including repairing window hardware, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall surfaces
• Perform welding tasks to fabricate brackets and support frames using arc welders and oxy-acetylene torches
• Conduct preventative maintenance, including water treatment for cooling towers and testing of pools and spas
• Maintain daily reports of tasks accomplished and supplies used

Requirements

• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices in at least two building, electrical, or mechanical trades
• Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and diagrams
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work from ladders or aerial lift equipment
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1, or four years of experience in building and plant maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial food service equipment
• HVAC experience with EPA 608 certification (candidates without certification must obtain it within one year of hire)
