About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily maintenance department activities to ensure efficient food processing operations
  • Establish safety programs and maintain a consistent safety culture
  • Determine work schedules, sequences, and assignments based on priority and resources
  • Manage outside contractors and partner with the Director of Engineering on equipment installs and projects
  • Perform skilled repair operations and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Drive equipment reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Utilize RedZone for OEE monitoring and work order management
  • Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, and expenditures

Requirements

  • 5+ years in maintenance management or a similar leadership role
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in operations, engineering, or maintenance
  • Experience leading change through data-driven metrics
  • Hands-on experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Ability to handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities
  • Strong communication and people management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in food safety environments utilizing GMPs
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming expertise
  • Electronics expertise
  • Experience with packaging equipment (scales, VFFS, pouch machines, labelers, etc.)
  • TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma experience
