Maintenance & Refrigeration Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and refrigeration supervisors, their crews, and the overall performance of the department
• Manage the labor budget and monitor the purchase of parts and equipment
• Oversee the Preventive Maintenance Program, maintenance work orders, and production downtime
• Perform and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) specifically for Ammonia Refrigeration
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, IIAR, and NEC codes
• Manage facility projects, contractors, and the pre-op lockout/tagout program
• Oversee the hot water system and general facility equipment inside and outside the plant
• Implement and oversee safety and training programs
• Maintain and update facility drawings and plant utilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 7-10 years of related experience/training
• Strong knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration and Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Database software, and various project management tools
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical manuals
• Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify as a company pool driver
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving area, volume, and proportions
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment involving moving mechanical parts and extreme temperatures
