Maintenance Recycling Process Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Process recyclable materials using specialized machinery such as BioSAFE or STI machines
• Operate a 26' straight truck to manage bin logistics and material transport across campus locations
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with general repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment
• Execute work orders, preventive maintenance (PM), and corrective maintenance (CM) tasks
• Conduct regular building inspections to assess operational conditions and document findings
• Monitor facility system alarms and respond to utility outages or weather-related events
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support lab operations
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and Quality Management System procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in maintenance, recycling, or facility operations
• 1+ years of experience driving vehicles larger than 15ft
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 75+ lbs
• Basic computer skills including internet navigation and email usage
• Ability to obtain forklift and 26-foot straight truck certifications within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Certification in Maintenance or factory-related areas
• Experience in a distribution, warehouse, or construction setting
• Understanding of DOT and Hazmat regulations
• Experience operating hand and power tools
