About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including developing detailed job plans, work instructions, and task sequencing
- Manage the maintenance backlog through weekly and monthly reviews and lead backlog management meetings
- Utilize CMMS, SAP, and other planning tools to monitor work and ensure alignment with Production and Operations
- Develop accurate work scopes covering labor, materials, equipment, tools, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with Maintenance Supervision to level workforce needs and ensure equipment availability
- Create purchase requisitions, coordinate external services, and kit materials for planned work
- Support the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and provide planning support for turnarounds
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance efficiency
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in turnaround, maintenance, or equipment repair
- At least 2 years of experience specifically in maintenance planning and scheduling
- Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs, process flow sheets, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and confined space entry
- Familiarity with common production equipment such as compressors, gearboxes, and motors
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman’s certificate or related technical diploma
- Demonstrated ability to lead craft crews and manage complex resourcing
