Maintenance Planner I

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance and operation work schedules to ensure continued equipment functionality and plant productivity.
• Create detailed work plans, job scopes, and Safe Work Plans for professionals and technicians.
• Coordinate with plant management and project managers to evaluate maintenance, operations, and engineering needs.
• Manage long-lead time items, material requirements, and inventory warehouse counts.
• Assess priority of maintenance requests and determine appropriate staffing resources and job requirements.
• Provide budgetary information, track job progress, and manage maintenance backlogs.
• Collaborate with operations on hazard isolation and critical component requirements.
• Investigate and resolve maintenance issues and provide recommendations on repair vs. replace scenarios.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a maintenance or engineering-related field, or equivalent work experience and education.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning or plant operations.
• Proficiency in Maximo and competence in job planning, labor management, and job estimating.
• Expertise in department-specific software, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Strong knowledge of power plant operations, maintenance functions, and administrative controls.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
