Maintenance Planner

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities and lead a team of stores assistants and administrators.
• Monitor stock levels, recommend re-order parameters, and plan parts availability for maintenance and repair jobs.
• Replenish stock based on demand forecasts and expedite orders to improve lead times.
• Generate weekly backorder and monthly stock movement reports to identify slow-moving items.
• Maintain bin locations, conduct regular audits, and participate in stock takes and cycle counts.
• Receive inbound deliveries, inspect stock condition, and update the ERP system (M3).
• Act as the primary contact for customer queries, including generating quotations and invoicing orders.
• Maintain storage and housekeeping standards in compliance with SHEQ policies and the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (Essential).
• 3+ years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, including quotations and invoicing.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, BPCS, or Info M3) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's licence and medical fitness for work.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ standards and 5S principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management.
