Maintenance Parts Clerk

Responsibilities

• Act as inventory control point for the maintenance shop
• Champion 5S practice in maintenance work area
• Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Maintain accurate inventory records using CMMS
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Support preventive maintenance programs by ensuring part availability
• Work with maintenance planner to prepare work order, part, and tool packages
• Sort, return unused parts, and dispose of damaged parts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or maintenance parts management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Business
• Experience with CMMS (e.g., Fiix, Maximo, SAP PM, Oracle) or ERP systems
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance components (bearings, motors, pumps, etc.)
• Experience in purchasing and vendor management
