Maintenance Operator IV - IC&E Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform complex instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical work including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of power plant technical systems.
• Execute planned and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continued plant reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair power plant equipment, including steam boilers, turbo generators, pumps, and electrical distribution systems.
• Install new control system equipment and utilize specific electrical and control system test equipment.
• Perform water chemistry analysis on boiler makeup water systems and make necessary adjustments to chemical feed or blow down rates.
• Comply with all Fossil Safety Procedures and Policies, including Lockout/Tag out procedures.
• Remain available for unscheduled call-out repairs on an as-needed basis, including overnights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of power plant experience or equivalent experience in a similar industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs, distributed control systems, and instrument loops.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs and carry up to 50lbs.
• Ability to climb scaffolds, stairs, and ladders.
• Successful completion of the EEI POSS/MASS test.
• Proficiency in reading prints, schematics, and electrical/instrumentation diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in I&C, Electrical, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Experience in the operations and maintenance of distributed control systems.
