Maintenance Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and operation of plant equipment under limited supervision
• Work independently or as part of a team to ensure continuity of service
• Observe, record, and evaluate data while maintaining operational and maintenance logs
• Read blueprints, instruction manuals, and technical documents for troubleshooting and repair
• Ensure adequate information turnover between shifts
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance
• Act upon emergency procedures during non-routine situations to maintain safety

Requirements

• High School or Vocational School education
• At least two years of experience in power plant maintenance, operations, or combustion turbine maintenance (or equivalent military/educational experience)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain TWIC credentials within six months
• Physical ability to talk, walk, stand, sit, stoop, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, and perform heavy lifting
• Ability to see color and pass required qualification tests

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of utility or industrial facility materials practices
• Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
