Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
• Service and troubleshoot specialty equipment including air compressors, vacuum systems, and environmental test units
• Follow cleanroom, lab, and production protocols during maintenance activities
• Create, prioritize, and close work orders while maintaining accurate logs and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure adherence to safety and facility standards
• Support production floor operations by minimizing downtime
• Conduct routine facility and equipment inspections to identify hazards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Hands-on experience with building systems, mechanical equipment, and basic electrical/plumbing repairs
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
• Proficiency with standard and specialty hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of safety practices including LOTO, PPE, and OSHA/EPA guidelines
• Experience using CMMS or related maintenance software
• Physical ability to lift ≥ 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or cleanrooms
• Citation-free driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or facilities maintenance
• Security clearance eligibility
• EPA Universal or OSHA 10 certifications
