Maintenance Mechanic Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform disassembly, repair, or replacement of parts and production equipment
• Conduct fitting and alignment of mechanical components to ensure proper functioning
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to provide temporary and long-term fixes to minimize downtime
• Diagnose and correct maintenance issues on Credit Card Personalization Equipment, Mail Inserters, Cut Sheet Printers, Laser Printers, and Card Affixing equipment
• Analyze and interpret schematic diagrams for electronic troubleshooting
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for production machines and electrical/electronic equipment
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and monitor progress throughout the facility

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of progressive maintenance repair and electronic/mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, etc.) and soldering equipment
• Experience using a computer for data entry
• Willingness to pursue further education or certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or equivalent military training
• 5+ years of production maintenance with electronic repair experience
• Experience with Bell & Howell Inserters
• Experience with Entrust (formerly DataCard), MX, & DX Embossing equipment
• Experience with Xerox Cut Sheet Printers or Laser Engraving equipment
